Steward Board

PASTORAL SUPPORT

The Stewards of Quinn Chapel AME are:

Sis. Brenda Nevels
Sis. Karen Wilson
Sis. Debra Scott-Cyprain
Sis. Detrice Myers
Sis. Margaret Jo Alexander

Stewards-serve as advisers to the pastor.  A steward assists the Pastor in administrative capacities, helping to implement courses of action to faciliate decsion-making.

Objectives:
  1. Make an account of all money and other provisions collected for the support of the Church.
  2. Establish along with the Pastor his/her salary and benefit package, commensurate with the cost of living in the given geograpical area and the financial capacity  of the local congregation.
  3. Seek the needy and distressed in order to relieve and comfort them.
  4. Serve as spiritual lay leaders of the church.
  5. Register all baptisms, marriages and deaths within congregation.
  6. Survey the membership to determine the extent of each members financial support, attend the regular means of grace, and support of the various benelovent  enterprises of the church.
  7. Investigate all members of the church roll and submit its findings as Certified Membership Roll to the Official Board for approval.

The Board of Trustees are elected by the congregation to manage all the temperal concerns of the church.  Trustees are charged with safeguarding all of the church's realestate and other properties and making improvements when necessary.  Trustees are nominated by the pastor and elected annually by the pastor.

The Stewardess Board Of Quinn Chapel AME Church are:

Sis. Patricia Mcagee
Responsible for preparing the church altar before each Sunday Service, to ensure that the Communion linens and utensils are clean and the altar rail is dressed.  Stewardess are required to dress in white garments and sit together at the front of the church in order to assist at the altar during baptisms, prayers, and re-dedications.  Members of the Stewardess Board are nominted by the stewards and approved by the Pastor.

Pastoral Aide Committee
Our Mission : To serve and be of support to the pastor and his family in all areas of their lives with the love God, ensuring their needs are met at all times.
Assist the pastor within the ministry serving as caretakers of the pastor and his family.  The purpose of the Pastor's aide committe is to provide service to the pastor ensuring that he is fully prepared, equipped and able to fulfuill  his responsibilities  in leading the congregation.  The committee provides the support needed to the Pastor and his family, whether it is prayer, encourgement and to show love and gratitude to the family.  The Pastor's Aide Committee keeps track of the pastor's birthday anniversaries or any special occassion.
