Rev. Troy T. Grimes grew up in Clinton, Louisiana. He attended and graduated from Clinton High School. Rev. Grimes enrolled at Southern University Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1989 to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.
Rev. Grimes received his calling to preach in 1993 preach under the Leadership of the late Rev. Green who was the Pastor of Hyman Chapel AME. Church at the time. He then enrolled in religious studies at the ITC Extension out of Atlanta, Ga. There he began his spiritual journey. His pastorship begin at Bethel St. Francisville where he served 7 years. He later pastored his home church Hyman Chapel for a short period. Mt. Everett AME Church for 2 years, then he pastored at Venable Chapel AME Church and currently pasturing Quinn Chapel AME Church.
Rev. Grimes is married to Tracie Moore Grimes, and a father to one son, Tyler Grimes and resides in Baton Rouge, La.
